Vicki Kaplan, President

Founder of Kaplan and Kaplan Qualitative Research and KaplanWest, Vicki has designed and conducted qualitative research for more than two decades. With special emphasis in the healthcare industry, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices, she has led direct face-to-face and interactive telephone conferences among primary care physicians and specialists, dentists, optometrists, nurses and other allied professionals, managed care decision-makers, and patients. Her extensive experience in telephone focus groups led to the creation of ReCAP, the company’s proprietary product for uniting national marketing and sales teams.

Michael Kaplan, Strategy Consulting

Founder of Kaplan and Kaplan Qualitative Research Corporation, Michael has been a senior marketing analyst and planner specializing in health care for more than 30 years. The author of several professional articles on marketing in the health care environment, he was president of one of the nation’s first companies devoted exclusively to health care marketing, analysis, and planning. His focus on the marketing side of healthcare research, offers clients a crucial perspective on all our projects.

Michael and Vicki Kaplan are brother and sister.

Robert J. Mueller, Quantitative Services

Robert’s quantitative analytical skills have been honed over 25 years of surveying a variety of physician specialties, allied healthcare professionals, and consumers from both research supplier and client side perspectives. He has extensive experience researching strategic and tactical marketing issues ranging from market entry planning and new product or service concept development, through various aspects of product design, packaging, pricing, channel marketing, communications, and customer satisfaction. Robert has successfully employed a broad range of quantitative methodologies including conjoint analysis, choice modeling, and market share forecasting including the development of dynamic market share simulators.

Educated at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, he has conducted qualitative and quantitative research in many developed and newly industrializing countries including those in EU, Canada, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
